Private Lessons are personalized sessions with a Yasuke Arms instructor, taught one-on-one or in a small group of up to 6 students, and scheduled around your goals and experience level. Whether you are picking up a pistol for the first time, preparing for your Texas LTC shooting qualification, or tightening up fundamentals before a class, the lesson is shaped around what you need to work on.

Minimum age: 18.

Who This Is For

First-time shooters and new gun owners who want patient, individual attention, and friends, family members, or teammates who want to train together in a small group. Texas LTC applicants who want a Private LTC Prep Lesson before the LTC Shooting Qualification. Returning shooters who want a disciplined refresher. Students preparing for the NRA Basic Pistol Course or for Defensive Pistol 1 (DP-1).

What a Lesson Can Cover

Lesson content is set with you when you book. Common focus areas include:

• Safe gun handling and range safety
• Loading, unloading, and clearing a pistol
• Grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger control
• Identifying and correcting common shooting errors
• Practice on the Texas LTC proficiency course of fire: 50 rounds on a B-27 target at 3, 7, and 15 yards
• Responsible storage and care of your firearm

 

Your Instructor

Lessons are taught by Christopher Perkins, a Texas LTC Instructor, NRA Basic Pistol Instructor, and NRA CCW Instructor. Learn more about Yasuke Arms.

 

Important: This Is Not a Certification Course

A Private Lesson does not issue a Texas LTC-104 or an NRA certificate. If you need one, choose the course that fits:

• Complete Your Texas LTC: In-Person Shooting Qualification for the range instruction and proficiency demonstration after your online classroom hours
• NRA Basic Pistol / Texas LTC, In Person for the full two-day pathway
• NRA Basic Pistol Course for the nationally recognized foundation course
• Defensive Pistol 1 (DP-1) for licensed carriers. DP-1 requires an active License to Carry issued by your state of residence.

 

What to Bring

• Valid government-issued photo ID
• Your own pistol in good working condition. Yasuke Arms does not provide loaner pistols.
• Factory-new ammunition in its original box. No handloads or reloads. The amount is confirmed when you book.
• Eye and ear protection
• Closed-toe shoes
• Your firearm must remain UNLOADED in a gun case or bag until directed by the instructor.
• NO SIG P320s ALLOWED. NO EXCEPTIONS.
