Defensive Pistol 1 (DP-1)

Who This Is For

What the Course Covers
DP-1 combines two nationally recognized curricula with Yasuke Arms defensive training:
-
USCCA Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals (full course): a personal and home protection plan, self-defense firearm basics, defensive shooting fundamentals, the legal use of force, violent encounters and the aftermath, gear, and basic and advanced skills
-
NRA Basic CCW: carry safety, drawing from concealment, reloading and stoppage remediation, defensive accuracy, mindset, and carry modes, ending with the NRA CCW shooting qualification (50 rounds, 80% to pass)
Exam and Qualification Attempts
Per Yasuke Arms policy, students have one attempt at each written exam and two attempts at each shooting qualification. A student who does not pass a shooting qualification within two attempts must retake the course.

Students who complete DP-1 and pass the required qualifications receive three certificates:
-
Yasuke Arms DP-1 Certificate of Completion
-

NRA CCW course completion certificate
